Mindfulness Practice

 Grades 7-12 

Relaxation techniques have been proven to help calm the nerves just before an exam. During the class we explore the following:

  • Observe the present moment.

  • Specific feelings about the pending exam.

  • Creative visualization of the feelings.

  • Writing down those feelings and detaching ourselves from thoughts that do not serve us.

  • Detach from feelings and any judgement.

  • Breathing techniques.

  • Turning negative thoughts into positive actions.
